A Place for Community: Artique Brew Coffee and Tea Shop on Cut Bank, Montana’s Main Street

Artique Brew Coffee and Tea Shop isn’t just about what’s in your cup—it’s about who you share it with.

Artique Brew: our True Montana Coffee and Tea Shop

A little over two years ago, we began our Marketplace on Main adventure on Cut Bank’s Main Street. Our store was recently named the 2025 Made in Montana Retailer of the Year by the Montana Department of Commerce. But why stop there? We brought that warm, welcoming True Montana feel down the hall and recently opened the Artique Brew Coffee and Tea Shop. With seating in our gallery space, walls filled with local art, there’s a little something for everyone here. We want this to be the kind of place where you can chat with a friend, catch up on some work using our free wifi, or just relax with a good book.

Introducing our Coffee, Tea, and Baked Good Sources

Being part of a small town means we care deeply about our customers, and we’ve chosen to offer you the finest coffees, teas, and baked goods. When we started planning Artique Brew, one of the first calls I made was to Andy Pollard in Conrad. Andy attended the American Barista & Coffee School in Portland, and he and his wife Anna have owned and operated the Folklore coffee roastery since 2014. Folklore Coffee has a strong fan base in Cut Bank, and with good reason. Andy has entered the largest roasting competition in North America, the Goldenbean, earning bronze, silver, and gold awards. He also trained our barista mentor, Arkaidy Wisniowska. Any cup of coffee you enjoy in our shop will be brewed from locally roasted beans following precise brewing practices.

If we’re going to serve top shelf coffee, our tea offerings had better match! Lake Missoula Tea Company was the obvious choice. They source teas from artisanal tea farms worldwide, and make it a practice to visit the farms where the tea grows. Those farms are sustainable sources that prioritize their environment and their communities. I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Lake Missoula Company Tea Shop with Heather Kreilick and her tea master, Zach, learning about teas, their sustainability priorities, and proper brewing protocols. If you want a great cup of tea, you’ll find it at Artique Brew. But be prepared to wait a bit because your tea will take 4-6 minutes to brew depending on the variety you choose. (No tea bags here. 😊)

And of course, a great cup of tea or coffee is best enjoyed with a delicious bakery treat. Since we don’t have the space to whip up our own baked goods, we needed to find a local professional source. The Whistle Stop Bakery just down the road in Shelby will keep us supplied with muffins, scones, brownies, and cookies. Thanks, Monique!

Artique Brew stayed in the quality lane when we chose organic Holy Kakow syrups and sauces for our drinks. We are also using dye-free Lotus Energy drink syrups.
